It all began nine years ago with one angels calendar and “little heavenly beings” who were all playing music with great enthusiasm. For nine years, this angels calendar featuring the cute angels from the company Wendt & Kühn in Germany was available. What made it special? Each of the heavenly messengers played an instrument. The calendar’s title was “Heavenly Musicians.” After nine years, all Wendt & Kühn fans had found “their” calendar, ordered it, and enjoyed it. But because there were no additional twelve such figurines, it was – much to our regret – not possible to put together, photograph, and offer. In the search for an “angel replacement,” however, a whole new and exciting field of interest presented itself. Angels Calendars ... Why Is the Ordering Process of Poster Angels Calendars So Complicated?
We at the Publishing House don’t know in advance which calendar you’ll be excited about. Nor do we know which size you’d like it in. And we also don’t know which calendar style you’d like to order your angels calendar. If we – like “real, big” calendar publishers – ordered five copies of each variant and stored them at our office until you placed your order, we would most likely be producing massive amounts of future paper waste. Because angels calendars are not kitten or puppy calendars. That’s why all angels calendars – just like 90 percent of music calendars – are available to you as a print-on-demand option.
What Do We Mean by “two Calendar Styles”?
At first, we didn’t even know the name, nor did we realize that you could get them here in Germany. In fact, there are far more of them than poster calendars: brochure calendars. You can find them at Kaufland (... sort of Publix) and in stationery paper stores, for example. They feature many popular themes. We first encountered them in the U.S. There, posters calendars are almost never sold. Only an estimated two percent are poster calendars there. Poster calendars are high-quality calendars where the image dominates about 90 percent of the space. The calendar section is a creative accessory. And the whole calendar serves less to check which day of the week it is. Each monthly page is a small work of art or an impressive photo.
The cover pages for both calendar styles are similar. The difference becomes apparent starting with the January page. In brochure-style calendars, the top half features a visually appealing design, while the bottom half consists of a large grid serving as the calendar layout. The ideal place for this is the kitchen or utility room. It’s more of a tool for writing down birthdays and doctor’s appointments. In all other rooms of an apartment or a house, a brochure-style calendar isn’t really suitable as decoration.

Is it what you imagined? Then send us your order ... not through the shop ... but “plain text,” meaning simply as a message to my Publishing House.
Why Can't It Be Simpler ... by Shopping in the Store?
In order to allow users to view the twelve monthly pages from each of the 50 angels calendars, the Publisher would have to “put together” a total of 600 angels calendars monthly pages and then replace them on several pages every year. On top of that, so many images simply won’t fit on a single webpage. And when one calendar season transitions into the next, there’s also confusion, because some people want – for example – the calendar for the current year still in May, while others already want the one for the next year. The consequence would have been to offer only two, three, or five angels calendars. And that didn’t seem like the best solution.
